Welcome to the website of the Postgraduate Program "Culture and Cinema Studies" of the Department of Communication and Mass Media of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
The aim of the Postgraduate Programme “Cultural and Cinema Studies” is to produce a body of scholars specialised in issues of culture, in both their contemporary and their historical dimensions. Cultural studies, cinema, visual arts, literature, popular culture, creative writing, issues of gender and sexuality, among others, are approached both as independent fields and with the aim of highlighting the multiple interconnections between them. The Audiovisual Media Laboratory, as well as the Arts and Cultural Management Laboratory, complement the courses by providing students with the necessary technical support to develop and practice their skills in the above areas.
